Frederick Adams an inspiring composer discover the creative, artistic form of composition writing at the Philadelphia College of Art, where he studied trumpet and piano. Frederick is most noted for his long standing thirty years with the Sun Ra Arkestra, as trumpeter. Sun Ra on several occasions indirectly and fundamentally laid out a plan to encourage Frederick to lead his own band.
